Project Payday Review

I have had a lot of questions regarding the money making program Project Payday, so I decided to go ahead and do a review. First of all, let me tell you that I personally did Project Payday for 8 months. So this review is going to be 100% honest and I will tell you everything you should know about the system, how I did with it, if you can really make money with it, and why I quit.
I joined Project Payday in April of 2008. I found the home page on accident one day, and I read the sales page, and searched Google for reviews on it. I thought it sounded pretty good, and kind of a fun way to make a little more money online. All the reviews I found said some pretty good stuff about the program, so I decided to go ahead and sign up.
What is Project Payday Exactly?
It is a membership site that once you get inside, there is an in-depth ebook that literally takes you step by step (in all honesty, this is one of the best written step by step outlined programs I’ve come across- they do a good job with writing instructions in laymens terms) and teaches you how to make money online by signing up for Incentivized Freebie Websites (IFW).
I understand that you probably don’t know what an IFW is, because I didn’t either when I started. I’m not going to tell you what it is, because the manual does an extremely good job going over this, but I will tell you that just because you don’t know what an IFW is, there are literally thousands of people who do, and who use this system daily to make money. I’m getting ahead of myself…
There are forums that are strictly dedicated to freebie trading, so if you’ve read the sales page of Project Payday and you’re thinking to yourself "how am I going to find people to trade with?" Project Payday gives you all the resources you need.
Does Project Payday Work or is it a SCAM?
Actually, it does work, and it’s not even close to a scam. Here’s the catch, though…in order to make the $5,000 a month like the sales page says, you need to put in a lot of time, and you need to spend a little money. There are essentially 3 methods to Project Payday, and the only truly long term lucrative methods are 2 and 3. However, in order to get to method 3, you need to first do method 1.
Method 1: You go green for someone (it’s all explained in the manual, I promise) and they pay you. Simple.
How you go green:
Complete a few free or trial offers on a particular freebie site.
Method 2-3: You get other people to go green for you (which means they complete offers- not you), you get paid by the freebie site, and then you pay the person who greened for you.
So in essense, you’ve turned into the "payer" instead of the "payee", but you don’t have the hassle of completing offers, and you make the same amount of money as when you were greening for someone else.
What’s the Catch?
Here’s where the money spending comes in: The point of IFW’s is to try free or trial offers (once you complete the requirements, then you get paid by either the website or the person from the forum you set up the trade with).
Method 1 works beautifully in the beginning…you can literally make a few hundred dollars in just a few hours (I made $300 my first 3 days into it) but…after you’ve done it for a while, then the free offers or trial offers start to diminish, because you’ve done them all (you can’t complete an offer twice, ever) so you end up having to spend a little more money on going green so you can move onto method 2 and 3. If you are spending more money, then the profit margin doesn’t work out so well in your favor. If you are planning on doing this long term, than that wouldn’t be such a bad thing.
If you want to only do method 1 with Project Payday, expect to only make about $300 a month.
Another thing to know…
One more thing to tell you about Project Payday is when are doing method 1, you have your pick on who you want to trade with, and you can always find traders to pay you. This is your benefit. On the flip side, when you move onto method 2 and 3, you now have competition. This means you have to spend a lot of time on the forums posting so your signature gets seen, and you have to spend more time trying to get referrals. There are ways you can do this, but like I said, if you really want to get to the $5,000 a month mark, it’s a lot of work to maintain your referrals. That being said, there are people that only do Project Payday for a living and they do make a lot of money. It really depends on what your goals are, and how much time you have to put into it.
Tips:
1.) Keep good track of the offers you do. If you sign up for a free trial and you don’t like it, but you forget to cancel it, you will be charged. If you are charged for something you didn’t want, it takes away the purpose of making money this way.
2.) Don’t start out overly zealous. I did this, and took on 5 sites at once, not realizing it’s not just a quick project. It takes some planning and finding the offers you want to do. Go slow in the beginning, and work your way up from there.
If Project Payday works, then why did I quit?
This is plain and simple. I got tired of doing it.
I really didn’t like doing it anymore. I loved it when I started, but I felt the dazzle of it wore off, and the newness and excitement I had for it when I first started doing Project Payday wasn’t there anymore. I got tired of doing offers, and I just got tired of the whole freebie site thing. I was doing method 3 and I really didn’t have the time or energy to put into it. You probably will too eventually, but you can still cash in a few thousand dollars until you do.
Thumbs up or Down?
I give it a thumbs up for truly beginning people just looking to make some extra money online. This is not a program that will make you rich ever, but it’s an excellent program to start off making that extra cash you need.
If you would like to sign up for Project Payday, you can do so right here.

This is one of the best reviews I have read for Project Payday. It is because you actually use the product, and did freebie trading.
Yep it works! I made over $27,000 from Freebie Trading in 2008.
The two tips you list are on the money. I was guilty of being over zealous, and did not get credit on my first 4 sites. Then I re-read the Project Payday guides, and the information on the forum, and have had success every since.
I totally understand why you quit. I started not to like it last fall, and cut back on the time I spent on the forums, and was still was able to make a decent amount of money. In January, I spend no more than 90 minutes a day on the forums, and made $1500.
Project Payday is a great way to start making money online, but there many more efficient ways. I advice other to use it as a stepping stone to affiliate marketing, blogging and other ventures.
Hi Chris! I absolutely agree to the “using it as a stepping stone.” Before I did Project Payday, I never even heard about affiliate marketing, blogging etc.
I highly recommend people do it to start out with, and then to move onto the bigger fish when they have a better understanding of how the internet works. BTW- I still love cruising the forums!
Much success to you and your ventures, and thanks for the comment! (Enjoy the pingback!
