How To Identify The Keywords That Make Money Online

Keywords are important to any website if it want to be found by internet surfers because the search engines use them to deliver relevant search results. That’s why keyword analysis is an important step for webmasters or internet marketers when they want to create keyword-rich contents for their website or generate an effective advertising campaign that can make money online. The question is: how to identify these money making keywords.

Generally, all web searching keywords can be classified into one of these three categories of search keywords:

1. Pure Research Keywords

These keywords enter by searchers purely for academic or research purpose. The person does not have intention to purchase anything. They just search the keywords to get information.

2. Shopping Keywords

The internet surfers who search these keywords are mainly gathering information for comparison and preparation to buy later. They have intention to purchase an item, but they need to get further information such price, brand and model before they make their buying decision. These internet surfers may buy after 5 minutes, 5 hours, 5 days or could even after 5 months. This group of searchers is interested to purchase something but they want to compare the available offers first.

3. Money Keywords

This category of keywords is highly targeted and is the most important keywords for internet marketers who want to make money online because the searchers use these specific keywords to locate product or service they want to buy. These are the keywords that will convert the web visitors to become buyers, and make money for internet marketers.

If you want to make money online, both shopping and money keywords are important and you should identify them from the research in your niche market. However, the money keywords are more important as these are used by customers to find their searching products or services, and make the actual purchases.

For example, if a consumer is looking to buy a HD TV, he/she probably will search with more general keywords during the shopping phase. He may type "HD TV" or "Sony HD TV" in the search box to gather general information about the HD TV. After he has finished researching and ready to buy, he probably will use more specific search term such as "Sony MFM-HT75W Best Price" or "Sony MFM-HT75W low price guaranteed". This is the type which are categorized as Money Keywords that you should focus in when develop your contents or generate your pay-per-click advertising campaigns.

In the process of identify the money keywords for your business from keyword analysis results, you need to keep refining them to remove keywords that grouped under "pure research keywords", remove ambiguous terms and refine broad terms to fine tune to the money keywords that can bring conversions. You need to do a bit work and carefully selecting more specific keywords because these will drive more targeted traffic and help you to make more sales.

Most internet surfers reach any website through keywords search; hence finding the right keywords that drive targeted traffic is the most important step in any internet business. You must continue to fine tune your list until you find a group of money keywords that drive more targeted traffics and make more sales.
